Plugin focus / Drag and Drop Problem

    1) Open settings using 'Y' key. System Options>Playback>> click OFF 'Spacebar also works in background' button. Note that SOME VSTi's tend to take priority over the GUI, and some do not. I also got in the habit of using underscores (_) in ANY file name, and avoid using spaces. 2) NOT possible to drag-n-drop to VSTi windows (as far as I know). Not even possible in Samplitude/Sequoia's native Independence Sampler (that I know of). Yes, the manual is a little clunky and incomplete. Never has been totally up-to-date. I recommend searching on YouTube for Kraznet's Samplitude tutorial videos. They are very well done. If/When you decide to buy Samplitude, then you should join the main forum where you'll find all the veteran users and beta testers. Have fun, and good luck! Greg
  2. Yes, but you have to detect transients first. You should post over on the main forum. Good luck

    Roli Seaboard Rise & Samplitude/Sequoia

Roli should setup like any other midi keyboard, except it has its own editor, and can send other controller data to VSTs that can see it. Samplitude handles midi just fine, so it may depend more on your sound modules. I run Kontakt and Omnisphere in multi-channel mode with no issues. You may want to ask over on the main forum since there are probably more MIDI users over there. Greg

New Memeber & Thanks to Tim Dolbear

Superior 2 works great. That's all I have See you over on the main forum! Welcome to our little corner of the world! G
  5. http://www.musictech.net/2016/02/roli-interview/ Many DAWS have adopted JUCE. I doubt Magix will ever consider this. Greg

    Midi: Filtering and/or Mapping

MIDI Ox does this, but it's future support going forward with Windows 10, etc. is in question.

Copy track with VST instrument settings?

For now you can save a track preset with all your VST settings, then copy the track and insert the preset. G

    Demo project to learn with?

Not sure if the demo VIP's are included with the Samplitude ProX demo installation, but there should be some demo projects already included. G

    MIDI recording issue

You could be getting an initial velocity controller key switch coming in at the beginning of the track that is setting all velocity low. G

    LINES WHEN ZOOM

Actually, one of the best features of Samplitude is being able to zoom way into sample-level. Greg

Export Project to an other computer and version

If the Music Studio project is audio objects only, then there is a strong possibility that it will open in ProX. However, all the effects, plugins, etc. are setup differently in MS (from what I can remember), so they probably won't come across. I'm not even sure if 'object synths', etc. will come across correctly. Greg
  14. I use Sonic Core (formerly Creamware, who made the Pulsar). Also RME is a popular. Greg

WHERE THE H#!! is the Key Signature?

First of all, you're on the newcomer forum. You should post on the main forum where there are a LOT more users that can help. Secondly Samplitude does have key sigs. If you right-click on the staff in the MIDI editor/score window you can build in key and time sig there. Samplitude also has XML interfacing to other programs such as Sibelius. Sure there are other dedicated programs with more advance Scoring, but Samplitude DOES at least have the basics covered. Greg
  18. I think it will work on the audio output track of the VSTi if you use hybrid engine. Greg

    About Virtual Keyboard

There are 3rd party keyboards available for free. Magix prefers to focus on other issues. Greg

    Behringer X32 : nice deal.

Some friends of mine just completed a stage gig with 10 performers tracking through a X32 into the FOH engineers Sonar DAW, and they were overall pleased with it's performance and sound quality. However FOH was only tracking through the board and not really pushing it, and didn't really use any onboard EQ or effects. As far as any deeper integration with Sampliquoia with regard driver stability, automation, etc. - I still don't know. Greg

    Loop import workflow in Samp

    Very well done! Greg
  22. Yeah, I saw this, but it looks like it includes the more stripped-down "Magix Music Studio" version. I've never messed with Music Maker, but have always been curious about it. I assume it's more for loop and sample-based production, rather than multi-track recording--is that correct? Music Studio is more like Samplitude, but with more of the Music Maker plugins and loop handling.Music Maker can be used as a regular DAW, but is built more for get-in-and-go looping and setting up quick music beds.It also has a live performance and 'song maker' features that Samplitude does not have. (I for one wish that Samplitude at LEAST had a similar live performance feature) Greg
  23. Here's an even better deal for Magix' 20th anniversary. http://www.magix.com/us/music-maker/premium/ G

    Samplitude and mac os x

At this rate it may not be available on Mac until NEXT Summer. Mac version is not even in alpha or beta testing yet. Greg

    Behringer X32 : nice deal.

No agenda, just jaded having worked in hardware field for 30+ years. I guess I'm just an old curmudgeon Mainly only concerned about getting good integration within Samplitude without having to first record into the mixer and THEN dump files out into Samplitude. Or worry about automation. Or worry about reliable ASIO drivers, etc. Gee, maybe for once the German companies will get together and make everything work right off the bat. Greg
