Eucon Pro Support

Recommended Posts

Hi

I would like to say hello first.

I'm thinking of switching to one of the Magix products from N4. I'm currently using it with my MCPro controller, but many of the bugs are forcing me to look for an STABLE alternative, with a long, bright future.

(note its not Euphonix, this unit is stable like a rock).

Foo Tools is not an alternative, no demand in the enviroment I'm living (Southern Africa).

So I'm observing both Sequoia and Samp with an great interest. I've downloaeded the tutorial videos, the work flow looks impressive.

Does currently Sequoia supports Eucon Pro protocol?

If yes, does someone use this configuration? How stable it is?

Is the future plans to include EUCON in Samp, as the Sequoia features might be an overkill.

Thank you in advance

Regards

Hi,

a Sequoia version that supports EuCon was released in German two weeks ago. Facing the number of MCPro controllers in the market, I am afraid that there ain't too much field experience so far.

Sebastian

Hi

Thank you very much for your response.

Good news.

Is it the EuCon for McMix of the bigger version?

I hope someone from the developer team will chime in.

Looking forward.

From what I have understood, both Artist and MCPro are supported, whereas there is the usual current restriction for Windows clients requiring a Eucon service running on MacOs. Please understand that I take all this information form the release notes of Sequoia 11 only.

Cheers,

Sebastian

>Is the future plans to include EUCON in Samp, as the Sequoia features might be an overkill.

The original plan was to support the Artist series with Samplitude.

But due to the missing Windows Eucon server this isn't

very useful currently. Hence we've put the Eucon

to Sequoia only for 11.0, to allow adressing of the Pro series

there.

The future feature inclusion sure will depend on the availability

of ways to adress the Artist series with Windows based systems.

Volker

Hi ,

Waiting to konw if Sam will support Eucon protocol, so I know what controller to buy (MCU or euphonix)

I've had a look the euphonix website.

I've found that :

http://www.euphonix.com/pro/support/sys5-mc_support.php

"EuCon Software v1.4.1 - PC Workstation Installer including Studio Monitor Express/Pro, .zip"

So doesn't it work with PC now ?

There is a release note for latest version 1.4.1 ( that say it works for XP and Vista.)...

Any experiences around ? ?

regards

Toff

hi Tanakan!

that is only the network client program, which works for the EuCon Pro line. the artist series needs another server program, to work.
