My program will not start

The program will not start up. What can I try in order to launch the software?

First, try right clicking the launching icon and selecting "Run as administrator" from the menu. 

Second, uninstall and reinstall the software from our updates page. Also, make sure that your software is supported on the operating system. You can verify the software is supported on the operating system by checking its System Requirements in the release notes.

Go to Windows Update and make sure Windows has all important updates installed and you have restarted the machine to complete the process.Check Windows Update again to verify there are no additional updates available.

Third, do a clean boot of your system so Windows will start by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Other things worth trying to get your program running:

If you run anti-virus software, or some other utility that scans for adware/spyware, temporarily disable the software.  You may also add the exe file for the program to the exception list for the anti-virus software. 

Disconnect all USB and Firewire devices from the system. Also remove any dongles related to third-party applications and plug-ins.

Try running the software in Compatibility Mode. Right click on the program's icon and choose Properties -> Compatibility. Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose a different operating system.

We don't officially support our programs installed on a non-operating system drive, so make sure the program is installed on the same drive as the operating system.
